Words cannot describe how much I appreciate the opportunities this fellowship has opened up for me. It was by far the most rewarding experiences I had in my professional life.
The fellowship is organized. Thank you, Stephanie, for finding every time a solution to all my issues and organizing in details my journey to Genk. I had a transfer from the airport and as I arrived in Genk I had the first surprise to see where I am going to stay during my fellowship. I was living in a modern, fully equipped,two floors apartment just next door to the clinic. Just on the front door I had a welcome letter from the manager, Caius Spronken. Thank you, Caius, for the brilliant idea with this fellowship and made me part of it! The clinic is actually an hospital with amazing staff and an extensive operative schedule. Daily I assisted at least ten surgeries- breast augmentation, breast lift, lipofilling, tummy tuck, rhinoplasty, facelift, blepharoplasty, body contouring, hair transplant. The wide range of procedures I can choose from were amazing and contributed to making me learn as much as I could. Special thanks to dr. Damen, the head surgeon, who had the patience to explain me all the details of the surgeries and show me all the tip and tricks. Thank you, dr. Damen, to share all your surgical experience with me! The one-on-on teaching and the level of surgical care performed are highly worthy in Wellness kliniek. I assisted every single case performed by dr. Damen and also performed a lot of work under his observation. I attended also the consultations where I learned to properly evaluate the surgical indication for every case. In Wellness Kliniek there is no secret for the fellow. The fellowship was also a very good one in terms of managing a private practice. It was interesting to understand how private clinic works.
