Quality care is central to the Wellness Kliniek. We guarantee a top quality service. This is just as important before, during and after your treatment. This is why the Wellness Kliniek adheres to a formal quality system.

The Wellness Kliniek was the very first clinic in the world to obtain ISO quality certification for plastic surgery!

Since the clinic was established we have always been committed to quality care.

Independent checks

Regular quality controls are carried out by internal staff members and various external authorities.

Every year the quality is independently verified by AIB Vincotte. They are one of the few organisations that deal with both European and US standards in system certification.

The Wellness Kliniek adheres to the highest possible standards.

Customer satisfaction and safety

Institutions bearing the AIB Vincotte certificate comply with all criteria regarding customer satisfaction and safety of the environment.

In order to guarantee high quality standards the Wellness Kliniek is subject to regular independent quality controls, audits and inspections.

A sterile environment

All treatment facilities, materials and resources meet the strict conditions as laid down by the Ministry for Public Health and the ISO certificate commission.

All findings are continuously controlled and reported by means of internal inspection. The operating theatres in the Wellness Kliniek are continuously checked for any risk of infection.

 Culture tests are evaluated by an independent laboratory.

Duty of confidentiality

We guarantee you right to privacy and confidentiality.

Only you have the right to look at your medical file.

It doesn't cost anything for you to look at your file. We can make you a copy, and will only charge the associated administrative cost. 

Wellness: Prices

Prices should be reasonable. Ridiculously expensive prices are no guarantee of quality, and dirt cheap prices even less so.

In the Wellness Kliniek you know exactly what you are paying for. Our services are performed to the highest European standards. The medical and paramedical staff are specifically trained and are constantly subjected to quality controls. The facility comes under a controlled and internationally recognised quality system with ISO certificates, as are all the treatment methods, materials and technology.

You will be welcomed by friendly, well trained staff who are ready to help with any questions or requests. Our staff will give you guidance and support throughout your entire treatment, and afterwards.

Choice of anaesthetic

All plastic surgical operations can be performed under local anaesthetic or intravenous sedation.

Intravenous sedation is safer and has much fewer side effects than a general anaesthetic.

Don't be misled by doctors, surgeons and anaesthetists who advise a general anaesthetic for plastic and cosmetic operations. A general anaesthetic is only necessary for deep tissue surgery (e.g. stomach reduction).

Wellness Kliniek Belgium is a certified Hospital.

We hold a "General Hospital" license.

Clinics - Admission

A good clinic has admissions and overnight facilities:

Some private clinics don't have an admissions facility, nor individual rooms for patients to be kept in overnight.

Sometimes, even after a simple procedure it is better that the patient be kept in overnight.

If you opt for a safe treatment then check out the admission facilities offered by your clinic. 

Hospital bacteria

Cross infection of hospital bacteria is a well-known cause of disease and death. This is why healthy cosmetic surgery patients should preferably not be treated in the same operating theatres as patients with infections. Also medical and paramedical staff should be kept separate.

In the Wellness Kliniek we do not treat sick patients.

Staff Training

The quality of the doctors and staff is tested and developed in a structured way.

All staff members are carefully selected and must meet the requirements and objectives of the Wellness Kliniek as far as their training and personality is concerned.

Wellness: Information

Information is an important element of quality. In the Wellness Kliniek you will always receive the best information. We don't want to persuade you or sell you any treatments, neither do we advertise.

A good clinic doesn't need to advertise and tell stories. 

Admission

Followng your procedure you will rest in a relaxing chair, bed or in a private room.

Our rooms are equipped with a television, electric beds, private bathrooms and around the clock nursing and medical support.

All private rooms are ultra modern and tastefully designed. Family and friends are welcome to support you throughout your treatment. If you have a private room visits are permitted at specific times.

Aftercare guarantee

After the procedure you will be given special aftercare instructions for when you get home.

Our team is there for you during your procedure, but also afterwards. We are there to support you 24/24: 365 days a year. 

Wellness: Continuous improvement

Hospitals, private clinics and medical practices generally comply with the rules and regulations put in place by national government.

But you want more!

In the Wellness Kliniek processes and practices are carefully outlined and recorded. We have our own quality handbook and continuously strive to improve our working methods.

Our quality system is continuously evaluated and controlled.

Kliniek Quality Manager

The quality manager is involved in the ongoing optimisation and modification of processes and makes proposals for improvements.

The quality manager, management team and medical board form the quality commission.

They also make up the complaints commission and formally handle any complaints.

Being discharged from the Kliniek

Safety is of the utmost importance in the Wellness Kliniek.

You will only be discharged when the doctor decides you are ready.

Some clinics discharge patients immediately and transfer them to a nearby hotel. A hotel room has no medical infrastructure and is not an ideal environment for patients who need medical care.

Medical liability

Every plastic cosmetic operation is individual and personal. The surgeon will provide you with detailed information about the risks and possible side effects of your particular procedure. He will also talk about the care which will be necessary during the recovery period.

Before you undergo an operation you will need to sign a treatment agreement - a consent form.

This treatment agreement does not release the doctor from his medical responsibilities.

The Wellness Kliniek only works with doctors who have followed a high level, specific training and who benefit from considerable experience in their area of expertise.

We select the very best specialists from Belgium and abroad.

Through our website and telephone contact with our staff members we aim to prepare you as well as possible for your consultation.

Operating theatres

You are in good hands in our operating theatres, each one is equipped with modern apparatus. All surgical procedures are performed in a sterile environment by surgeons who are assisted by qualified nurses.

We have 4 operating theatres and a recovery room equipped with security apparatus.  

Quality information

The Wellness Kliniek doesn't work with agencies or beauty consultants. We do not recruit patients. Quality care also means that you are informed by the doctor who will be treating you.

Only your doctor can give you a good overview of all aspects of a particluar treatment.

During your consultation he can determine if you are a suitable candidate for treatment, which treatment is most appropriate for you and what the possible alternatives are.
